2020 Public Services Trust seminar on public service reform in a messy world

Title underline
04 December 2008
Venue: RSA, 8 John Adam Street, London, WC2N 6EZ

Speaker: Matthew Taylor, CEO RSA and former head of strategy at No10.

We had insights on public service reform from an insider who helped shape the development and implementation of reforms over the last eleven years of New Labour. Also what do Labour's successes and failures teach us about how the next government should conceptualise and carry out its programme of reform?

Matthew looked at how major public service reform strategies can be linked to broader typologies of social action. He discussed the problem of trying to create public services in a complex and messy world of competing interests and dynamics.
